45 years in business. Valle Services provides Logan Square security guards for cafes, restaurants, shops and strip plazas, including nearby Avondale. Our unarmed guards serve Chicago and all suburbs, 24/7.
In the news: In the early morning of Oct 14, at least 19 businesses on the Northwest Side, including in Logan Square and Avondale, were burglarized, according to CBS Chicago and a Chicago Police business alert. Our roundup of reported Chicago business break-ins covers the rest of the city.
Logan Square businesses are small and independent: coffee shops, neighborhood restaurants, boutiques and salons, many of them on Milwaukee Avenue and around Kedzie and Logan Boulevard. Few have a back office or a security team. The owner often is the security team.
Nearby Avondale has a different layout: strip plazas with a row of storefronts, a shared lot and a back lane. Overnight, a plaza like that can be dark and empty. A guard covers the whole row, not just one door.
Checks on doors, glass and rear entrances along your block or plaza, on a schedule that varies so it is not predictable.
One guard can watch several tenants and the shared lot. See our parking lot security.
A guard present when staff open up, close out and take cash to the bank.
Presence in early morning when vendors arrive and the street is still quiet.
Written reports with times and details, for police and your insurer.

Often, yes. Landlords and neighboring tenants can split coverage of a plaza or block. We’ll talk through it on the walk-through.
No. Some owners want opening and closing hours, others want weekend nights. We build the schedule around you.
It depends on hours and the number of guards. Our cost guide explains the factors, and the armed vs. unarmed guide covers your options.
